Dear Friends,
It's time to make good on your new year resolution and
learn how to use your new digital camera! These classes will assist
those who are new to the world of digital photography and are anxious to
improve their camera knowledge and the quality of their digital images.
Whether you are a point & shoot user or DSLR enthusiast these
classes will help you capture images in a new light.
Ian Mack makes today's digital photography understandable in our most popular class, The Basics of Your Digital Camera, perfect
for anyone new to digital photography looking to get a firm grasp of
all that goes with it. For owners of Digital SLR's who would like
more camera specific instruction, we offer a 3 hour class covering the
operation of your Canon Digital SLR camera in our Canon Digital SLR Class. For those that need help with importing, organizing and editing their images our Picasa Class is the perfect choice. In this 3 hour class you learn all the amazing features Picasa has to offer.
We look forward to helping you enjoy all of the features and advantages of your new digital camera

| Your Canon Digital SLR, All The Basics & More! | 
Ian Mack will help you find that comfort level with your Canon Digital SLR you have been looking for as well as the computer related skills required by today's digital photography.
Primarily
focusing on the Canon Digital Rebel and D series consumer &
advanced amateur digital SLR's, Ian will build you a foundation of basic
camera operation and control knowledge. You will then learn more
advanced camera features and settings, navigating the menus, the what
and how of ISO, different auto focus modes, manual focus and exposure
compensation, creative picture modes and flash modes and finally what is
it and how to read a Histogram.
Using
your new knowledge Ian will cover how to shoot photo situations such as
macro, scenic, sports and action and low light photography.

Not
sure where to begin with your digital camera? This class is will cover
what you need to get started. Focus will be on digital point and shoot
cameras covering basic camera operation, digital photo concepts like
using flash and composition, recommended accessories to enhance your
picture taking, and how to get your images into the computer.
Primarily focusing on,
· Basic camera operation of your digital point & shoot camera
· Fundamental photography tips
· Downloading pictures to your computer (Mac/Windows)
· Basic picture storage, organization and backup. For example, CD burning and using external hard drives for back up.

· Different file formats, compression and image quality

Mack will walk you through the steps of downloading and installing the
latest version (3.9), importing all your digital photos and organizing
them on your computer. Then see how to edit your photos, crop,
remove those bothersome red-eyes and enhance those favorite memories all
in preparation for the most important part of photography,
sharing. The latest version has added face recognition as an additional organization tool. See
how to share your images via the net, email and how to print directly
to Orleans Camera from Picasa. After all, why do you shoot to
